Most business internet problems are not really about speed. They are about what happens when the line goes down, who answers the phone when it does, and whether the phones, card machines and cameras were designed to survive it. We install business fibre as part of that wider picture, not as a product on its own.
What you get
- Uncapped business fibre with a service level agreement, rather than a consumer product sold to a business.
- Installation and configuration by our own technicians, including the router, switching and cabling inside your building.
- Wireless failover, so a fibre break does not stop calls, card payments, cloud applications and off-site camera monitoring at the same time.
- Backup power sized to keep the router, switches and access points running, because a fibre link with no power is an idle cable.
- One supplier for the line, the equipment and the support.
Why the failover matters more than the speed
A fibre fault rarely affects only the internet. It takes voice calls, cloud applications, card payments, remote access, scanning and off-site monitoring with it, because all of them ride the same line. A second, independent route into the building is worth more than a faster single one. Our SME Technology Resilience Test report sets out how to work out what must keep running, and for how long.
Fibre or wireless?
Fibre is the first choice where it is available at your premises and the timeline suits you. Where fibre has not been laid, or where the wait is too long, business wireless reaches the site in days at speeds comparable to fibre. Many of our clients run one as the main link and the other as the backup. At Riverside High School, three of the five suppliers who quoted reported that there was no fibre in the area. We installed it.
Before you upgrade the line
A faster package does not automatically create a faster office. The experience sits across a chain: the line, the router or firewall, the switches and cabling, the Wi-Fi, the device and the application at the far end. We test the path before recommending more bandwidth, so the money goes on whatever is actually limiting the business. Our report on finding the real bottleneck sets out the process.
Where we install
Fibre and cloud services are available nationally. On-site work is carried out by our own teams from our Vaal head office in Vanderbijlpark and our Garden Route branch in George.
Questions we are asked
How long does a business fibre installation take?
It depends on whether the infrastructure already passes your premises. Where it does, installation is usually quick. Where it does not, we will tell you honestly what the timeline looks like, and we can put business wireless in place in the meantime so you are not waiting.
What happens when the fibre goes down?
With failover in place, traffic moves to a second, independent link automatically and your calls, card payments and cloud work continue at a reduced speed. Without it, everything on that line stops together. We design the failover before we quote.
Do you support the equipment inside the building?
Yes. The router, switches, access points and cabling are ours to support, along with the line itself. There is one number to call, and no argument about whose problem it is.
